Security guard punched in suspected 'racially aggravated assault'

Images of a man wanted in connection to an alleged racially aggravated assault on a security guard have been released.

The incident happened on May 5, in Jack’s store on Four Acre Lane, St Helens around 3.30pm.

Police said the security guard was punched and threatened at the store.

Police said thankfully the guard wasn’t hurt but added: “We’d still like to find the person responsible because this behaviour is completely unacceptable.”

Officers are now asking the public for help identifying the man who could have vital information in the investigation.
