Security guard left in coma after attack at CIRCUS Christmas Special party

A security guard was left in a coma after a vicious attack at a house and techno party at Liverpool's Bramley Moore Dock .

The victim was struck around his head during the CIRCUS Christmas Special on Saturday.

Police said the victim, a man in his 30s, was taken to hospital "with head trauma and suffered an induced coma" after the attack at the electronic music celebration , hosted by Yousef and featuring the likes of Solomun and Hot Since 82.

A police spokesman said the security guard was "now stable and in recovery" after the attack at around 9pm.

But detectives are urging witnesses and anyone with mobile footage to come forward after the ugly scenes at the event, which ran from 2pm to 11pm.

A man has been arrested and released under investigation.



Detective Inspector Jennifer Beck, from Merseyside Police, said: "We are investigating the assault and I would ask anyone who witnessed the incident, or has any information, to please get in touch.

“We are particularly interested in talking to anyone who may have filmed the incident on their mobile phone.”
