Police say another 15 women have come forward, alleging they were sexually assaulted by a security guard who works in a designated Queensland Safe Night Precinct.

On Friday, police on the Sunshine Coast appealed for victims to come forward after a 23-year-old security guard was charged with 39 crimes including rape, torture, strangulation, stalking, deprivation of liberty, extortion, computer hacking, and fraud.

Police said the man met two of his alleged victims while on duty at the Maroochydore Safe Night Precinct, an area patrolled at night by state-funded security and safety officers.

The goal of the precincts is to reduce drug and alcohol-fuelled violence.

Detective Senior Sergeant Craig Mansfield said the initial charges related to crimes committed against four women and now more have come forward.

Police have added nine new charges in relation to one of those who came forward over the weekend.

These include three charges of rape, plus deprivation of liberty, sexual assault, and disabling in order to commit an indictable offence.

Senior Sergeant Mansfield said police would now continue their investigation with those making the new allegations.

He said anyone else who believed they might be a victim should report it to police by visiting their local station or reporting it to police online.

The alleged offender has been remanded in custody after having his case mentioned in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Monday.
