Security was forced to step in to separate Amir Khan and Kell Brook in a press conference following the announcement of their bout in February.
The two rivals have spent a decade exchanging barbs and issuing challenges to each other, with the rivalry finally set to be settled in February at the Manchester Arena.
Following confirmation of the fight, the pair took part in a press conference where they did not mince their words - and almost came to blows as a result.
During that press conference, the pair were face-to-face on two occasions and security had to step in to deescalate the situation both times.
Speaking at the press conference, Khan stated that he did hold respect for his opponent but added it's now time to 'put him in his place'.
"The respect is there, I respect him as a fighter. I've never run from Kell, I never needed to. What I've achieved in this sport speaks for itself.
"There were times in the past when I didn't think he deserved the fight but now I want to put him in his place."
Brook identified the lengthy process that has had to be taken to see the two rivals in the ring against one another, stretching back almost two decades, and vowed to 'retire' his opponent.
"This has been going on for 17 years. The negotiations have been incredibly hard work. We have finally got it over the line and I'm ecstatic that the fans are going to see this fight. February 19 is the date Amir Khan will hit the deck for the final time. I'm going to retire you. I'm going to knock you spark out!"
Khan has not fought since 2019, where he defeated Billy Dib, while Brook was last in the ring last year where he suffered defeat to Terence Crawford.
