Security footage has emerged showing a 72-year old woman punched and robbed inside an Omaha church in Nebraska.

The incident occurred on Sunday morning at the Saint Cecilia Cathedral in Omaha where an elderly woman is seen looking at a brochure in the front foyer, before being blindsided by two men.
The footage shows the pair running in: one man proceeds to grab her purse and runs off while his accomplice delivers a punch to the 72-year-old’s head, which causes her to fall to the ground.
It is believed she hit her head on a table nearby which has caused a gash on her head.
It has been reported that Omaha Police believe one of the suspects in the video is 23-year old Wayman Clark, who is already known by the police department. An Omaha Police officer has said that Clark was taken into custody on Wednesday afternoon.
The incident has shaken the local community. Reverend Michael F. Gutgsell, Pastor at Saint Cecilia told a local television news station: “Of course it’s shocking because we haven’t had anything like that here, at least not in ten years… the parishioners are now concerned. ‘Is it safe? Should I be in Church? And we tried to assure them this is a safe place.”
