Security camera catches dog making most of being home alone - leaving owners in stitches

Sometimes, when we head out and leave our pets indoors for a few hours, we feel a twang in the pit of our stomachs.

Will they be ok while we're out? Should we feel guilty for leaving them on their own? How will they occupy themselves while we're gone?

Well, one owner of a particularly happy dog who has a lust for life has had her questions answered.

The owner of the mischievous pooch shared a hilarious, heart warming video of him having the time of his life while she was out.

Hamilton, who's lucky enough to have a swimming pool in his back garden, gleefully jumps into the pool for a little swim, surrounded by floats and toys.

Making the most of his time in the pool on his own, he swims to the side, climbs out, and shakes himself off.

But cheeky Hamilton wants to go back for more, and runs to the other end of the pool to jump in once more.

Hamilton's owner, Mary, said: "He’s always loved water. We wanted to see what he would do if he had the pool to himself. I'm so grateful for this memory."

She added the footage, recorded on a Ring Doorbell camera, showed Hamilton's "funny personality" as he frolicked around the pool.

Mary said: "I laugh every time I watch it. We love our Ring camera to be able to check up on things when [we’re] not around."
