Police have shut off part of the Edinburgh City Bypass after an early morning crash.
Mercy crews raced to the A720 in Straiton at around 6.50am this morning after reports of a smash.
The incident is believed to involve one car with no serious injuries.
One westbound lane has now been shut off as response teams deal with the incident.
Traffic is now 'heavy' in the area as delays continue.
Traffic Scotland said: "At 06:50 on the A720 in Straiton one lane was closed westbound due to a road traffic crash.
"Police and emergency service are one the scene.
"Traffic is heavy on approach."
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report of a crash involving one car on the A720 at the Straiton Junction, around 6.40am on Wednesday, 22 December, 2021.
“There were no reports of any injuries and recovery is being arranged."
