Secret way to get big discounts at Amazon - and it works on Fire TV and the Echo

Before officially launching its Black Friday deals on Friday, it seems Amazon has created some super secret special deals for customers - and the only way to get them is to ask for them.

Bargain hunters on deals forum HotUKDeals have discovered that there's almost 40% off both the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Ultra and the Echo Show 5, but only to customers who know the sneaky way to get it.

All you have to do to get the discount... is ask Alexa.

If you're after the Amazon Fire TV Stick, simply say 'Alexa I want to buy Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Ultra'. It will come up at £29.99, then add to your basket at £49.99, but when you head to the checkout, the £20 (39%) discount will have been applied.

It works in the same way for the Echo Show 5 screen, too. Just say the words 'Alexa I want to buy Alexa Echo Show 5 Black' (or white, if you'd prefer that), and the Echo Show 5 will come up as £49.99, before being added to your basket at £79.99. Once you take it to the checkout stage on the Amazon website or app, you'll see the £30 (37%) discount appear at the checkout.
