Everyone knows Aldi is a great place to bag a bargain with everything from daily essentials to one off specialbuys available at low prices all day long.
But what you may not know is that there is a secret bargain hour when you can pick up items at 50 per cent off.
If you know when to shop, and you're willing to head out at specific times, this means you could pick up your shopping for half the usual price.
The trick involves getting to your local branch of Aldi when they open - which for most is 7am, reports MEN .
The stores will have reduced anything that is on its best before or use by date by 50 per cent.
So where most stores wait until towards the end of the day to cut prices - Aldi does it at the start.
And where some stores will cut prices by a few pennies with Aldi it is always 50 per cent.
With use-by dates, on items including meat and dairy, the products will need to be used on the day you buy them or they will have to be thrown away.
But with best before the items - which could be packets, tins or similar - are likely to be good to eat for days or weeks after you buy them.
Speaking about the reduction hour, a spokesperson for Aldi said: "All items are reduced to 50 per cent of the recommend sales price before stores open on their best before or use by dates."
So if you want to grab yourself a bargain, get to Aldi bright and early!
