An insider has opened up about what it's like behind the scenes on popular reality dating show Love Island.
The source revealed that contestants on the show are not shy about walking around the set flashing boobs and bums whilst the series is being filmed.
And despite sex mostly only being suggested on the show, it is definitely on the cards for many 'Islanders' once the lights go out.
After dark, night vision cameras switch on to capture any surreptitious goings-on between contestants, who sleep only inches away from each other.
“It sounds like a porn movie at night, with lots of rustling between the sheets, moaning and groaning. People are definitely getting sexual under the covers," one insider told the Sun.
Despite this, the reality has had to scale down its coverage of nocturnal goings on after two contestants were broadcast getting busy in full view of the cameras, sparking a flood of complaints.
Nonetheless, contestants are reportedly not shy on set, strolling round in bikinis and trunks that leave very little to viewers' imagination.
“The Islanders are walking around in their bikinis and trunks all day, so when it comes to getting ready they don’t care about flashing their boobs and bums," the insider said.
Contestants who are not used to the demands of filming full time TV can find the adjustment difficult, though they soon get used to the demands.
“Storylines develop fairly naturally, with input from the producers, but the cast know the more they perform, the more they’re going to feature and get air time.”
And with the cameras rolling, despite the party atmosphere booze is kept within strict limits, with islanders reportedly complaining about how little booze they get.
Even during the so-called 'party nights' on the island, when a big gold bottle of bubbly is passed round each contestant only receives a small amount.
Islanders are told to make sure they stay hydrated, with producers monitoring how much water they are drinking to make sure they're okay.
Although producers will provide some guidance on where storylines can go, this can sometimes backfire.
Contestant Faye has become known for her witty one liners, which may have been encouraged in chats with the show's producers.
But sometimes things can be taken too far, at which point the producers will once more intervene to make sure the show strikes the proper balance.
New arrivals to the Island are also banned from discussing how the show is seen from outside the villa. They are also encouraged to talk about themselves because the production can't use information about other people.
Many contestants quit their jobs to star on the show, hoping to find fame and the social media followers that it brings.
