Secret message suggests Batman will return in Suicide Squad game

The Suicide Squad-FanArt

Recently, there has been quite a bit of discussion surrounding Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and whether it is disrespectful to Batman and Kevin Conroy's portrayal of the iconic character. In this game, Batman is depicted as evil and ultimately meets his demise, which is made even more poignant by Kevin Conroy's tragic passing, marking it as his final performance as Batman.

While some argue that this portrayal is disrespectful, there is promising news that suggests we may not have seen the last of Batman. A dedicated fan discovered a hidden message within the game after an extensive search for clues. By locating 12 hidden calendars scattered throughout the map, they found that certain dates were circled, with the final one being marked by an unmistakable Batman symbol.

These date numbers, when translated, formed a message that read 'HE WILL RETURN.' This exciting finding has led to speculations about Batman's potential comeback. Some skeptics speculated that it could be Calendar Man making a reappearance, but with the presence of the Batman symbol, it seems unlikely. Another prevailing theory suggests that the Justice League members may not have actually died, but rather were either clones or taken from alternate dimensions as a means of bringing them back together.

To delve further into this matter, we must venture into spoiler datamining territory, so be forewarned. Datamined lines from the game indicate the return of Green Lantern and The Flash in non-evil forms, supporting one of the aforementioned theories. If these characters are set to make a comeback in future seasons, it stands to reason that Batman might as well. This possibility raises questions about whether Kevin Conroy had already recorded his lines for this potential content or if it was still pending completion.

Unfortunately, information regarding the extent of the game's live content development remains unclear. While snippets featuring the returns of The Flash and Green Lantern exist in the game's data, there is no evidence of additional recorded Batman lines by Conroy. This may be due to the absence of these files at present or, sadly, suggest that they were not recorded.

The prospect of Conroy's Batman returning as a heroic figure in the game, aiding in the city's salvation and combating supervillains, is undeniably enticing. However, the feasibility of this scenario remains uncertain. Nevertheless, the hidden message discovered by a fan indicates that Batman is indeed slated to make some form of return. It is a development eagerly awaited by fans.

In conclusion, while the debate about Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League's portrayal of Batman and Kevin Conroy's final performance continues, the discovery of a hidden message suggesting Batman's return provides a glimmer of hope. Whether this return involves Conroy's recorded work or not remains to be seen. Nonetheless, the idea of having Batman make one last appearance as a hero is undeniably intriguing. We will have to wait and see how this unfolds.
