Secret cinema has really made a name for itself in recent years, creating immersive experiences for fans of cult and influential films.
However, the new Secret Cinema presents Stranger Things is less concerned with being just a cool cinema and more focused on being an interactive and theatrical experience.
As you enter the secret London location, you will quickly feel like you have stepped back in time to 1980s America, with great 80s tunes, terrific period costumes, and all the aesthetics you would expect in the Stranger Things series.
The recreation of show sets and some cast members are a real treat - the ones we do meet are some uncanny lookalikes.
As you are attending as a unique Hawkins character in your own right, the more involved you become in the performance the more rewarding the experience will be as you become part of your community and enjoy the various fun fair eateries, attractions, and shops that Starcourt Mall and other locations have to offer.
With delicious food, great merchandise, and, of course, the opportunity for a drink, there's something for everyone to enjoy.
Those expecting a "cinema" should expect something a little different, however, with events in the relaxed but vital narrative building towards an epic climax - but to tell you what it is would spoil the fun.
