Secret Cinema has announced a brand new series of drive-in film screenings in the UK.
The group, known for hosting popular immersive film events themed around classic movies, will pitch up for The Drive-In shows at Goodwood Motor Circuit in Chichester from July 5.
Screenings will kick off with a showing of Chris Hemsworth's racing drama Rush on the day. A mix of family-favourites and crowd-pleasers like Moulin Rouge, Moana, The Incredibles, Toy Story, The Hunger Games, Star Wars, Dirty Dancing and Pretty Woman will then be shown across the first two weeks, with more shows to be confirmed.
It comes after the government gave the green light for drive-in film events to open last week. It’s one of a number of announced drive-in pop-up screenings, with groups like the Luna Cinema and Tom Kerridge’s Pub in the Park also announcing dates.
Tickets for the first two weeks of shows at The Drive-In will go on sale on June 22 at 10am. They're priced from £50 per car and can be bought here.
Screenings will adhere to social distancing measures, while organisers promise an immersive experience for fans. For fans purchasing tickets, there’ll be a pre-show experience available online, helping fans find inspiration for costumes and car makeovers. Each screening will also feature a 30-minute pre-film show with music and games.
