Secret Cinema announces Dirty Dancing as 2020 summer production: How to get tickets

Secret Cinema has announced details of its upcoming summer screening, and film fans could be having the time of their life in the capital next year.

The group is celebrating one of the most loved romcoms of all time, bringing the world of Dirty Dancing to life in a secret location from July 22.

The classic films takes place in the summer of 1963 at the fictitious Kellerman’s Resort, and the group is taking over an outdoor location for the immersive series to replicate it.

There’ll be live music and dance classes to enjoy alongside the special screenings, as well as Secret Cinema’s set designs and squad of actors.

Ticket for the screenings are on sale from 9am on December 16. They can be bought here.

It's the second time Secret Cinema has staged Dirty Dancing-themed events, after a series of 2016 screenings in East London.

Lucy Ridley, creative director of Secret Cinema Presents Dirty Dancing said: “Our outdoor experiences are a celebration of the summer, and this iconic movie epitomises and honours that perfectly. We’re delighted to return to this film and can’t wait to share the summer of ‘63 with you.”

Dirty Dancing stars Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze, following a young woman who falls for an unruly dance instructor while on vacation with her family.
