A second woman has been jailed after a bottle attack on another female in Hamilton.
Rebekah McKenzie, 21, was handed a three-year sentence at Hamilton Sheriff Court this week.
Nicole Cairns, 24, was jailed for 32 months in November.
The court heard the victim was targeted by the pair after a row over a broken window.
Cairns, a prisoner, and McKenzie, of Fereneze Crescent, Hamilton, admitted assault to severe injury and permanent disfigurement in Woodlea Drive on December 20.
The women kicked their victim repeatedly on the head and body, jumped on her and struck her repeatedly on the head and body with a bottle.
Passing sentence, Sheriff Ray Small said: "This was needless violence involving someone you thought, rightly or wrongly, was involved in a window being broken.
"Taking the law into your own hands is a serious matter that will often result in custody."
McKenzie also admitted threatening or abusive behaviour and trying to spit on a police officer.
She has been in custody for the last two months and her lawyer said she accepted a jail stretch was inevitable.
He added: "She hopes to use that period constructively. She has already made enquiries about addiction and mental health counselling."
Sheriff Small accepted McKenzie's record was not as bad as her co-accused's and jailed her for 24 months for the serious assault.
But he added a consecutive sentence of 12 months for the separate charges of threatening or abusive behaviour and police assault.
McKenzie will be supervised for a year on her release from prison.
