Foreign trips can be potentially dangerous and may spark a second wave of coronavirus cases in Ireland, a GP has warned.
Dr Shane Corr, who works in Co Monaghan, believes another surge of infections is "inevitable" if people begin going on overseas holidays.
He thinks it is up to individuals to take it upon themselves to resist the temptation to go abroad.
Dr Corr said: "More and more people are starting to travel.
"As Tony Holohan and others are saying, this is really potentially dangerous.

"People will be coming and going and may be bringing infections in from abroad.
"It's probably going to be hard to stop individuals doing that but we really need to stop the infection spreading.
"And the best way to do that is for people to report any symptoms as soon as possible to their doctor so we can arrange testing."
He tweeted on Wednesday morning that a second wave is certain to happen and urged the public to take the matter seriously.
When asked about the social media post on RTE Radio One, Dr Corr said: "I think if we find people coming in from abroad, bringing in the infection and it can't be stopped - because people either recognise that they don't have Covid or else their close contacts don't quarantine when the person may have symptoms - there's a very great chance that the infection will spread."
