A second Waterford FC player has tested positive for Covid 19.
The Blues had already forfeited tomorrow''s scheduled clash with Sligo Rovers - which the Bit O'Red will get a 3-0 walkover from - after a positive test in the first team squad last week.
But a club statement tonight read: "Waterford FC can confirm that a second player presented with symptoms consistent with that of COVID-19.
"The player was subsequently tested today (14th of May) and a positive result was returned.
"The player had been self isolating and will continue to isolate until he is cleared to return by the club doctor in line with HSE guidelines.
"No other players have reported symptoms ahead of a second round of testing of the first team squad on Sunday."
