Second video apparently showing child driving lorry investigated by PSNI

Police say they are making enquires into a second video circulating on social media appearing to show another child driving a lorry in Northern Ireland.

The second video appears to show a young girl at the wheel of the HGV whilst another young child sits behind the driver and a male adult sits to the left hand side of the young driver.

The footage is believed to have been captured on a dual carriageway in Northern Ireland.

A police  spokesperson said: “We are aware of footage which has been shared on social media and are making enquiries.”

In a separate incident last week, police arrested a 37-year-old man in the Cookstown area on suspicion of a number of offences including cruelty to children after a video showing a young male reportedly driving a lorry on the M1 near Dungannon was shared on social media.

The man was released on police bail pending further enquiries.
