Second teen arrested and charged in connection with 'shooting' on Scots street

A second teenager has been arrested and charged in connection with an alleged shooting in Glasgow at the weekend.

Emergency services raced to Garlieston Road, Barlanark, around 9.25pm on Saturday after a man was discovered injured.

The 33-year-old man was rushed to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary Hospital for treatment.

His condition is described as serious but stable.

A 16-year-old man was arrested in connection with attempted murder yesterday.

He has now been charged and is expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court today.

Police today confirmed a second man, 17, has also been arrested and charged in connection with attempted murder.

He is expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Wednesday.

A Police Scotland statement said: "Police Scotland can confirm that two men, aged 16 and 17, have been arrested and charged in connection with the attempted murder of a 33-year-old man in Barlanark, Glasgow.

"Around 9.25pm on Saturday, 25 September, officers attended a report of the 33-year-old man injured in Garlieston Road. The injured man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where hospital staff describe his condition as serious but stable.

"The 16-year-old man was expected at Glasgow Sheriff Court today (Tuesday, 28 September) and the 17-year-old man is expected in court tomorrow (Wednesday, 29 September).

"A full report will be forwarded to the Procurator Fiscal."
