Second stabbing in city centre believed to be caused by glass

Police are appealing for any information after a man was stabbed in Mansfield Road.

The incident happened only 30 minutes after a 26-year-old male was stabbed in Goldsmith Street.

Police are not linking the incidents.

Officers were called to Mansfield Road at 4.05am on Sunday, June 2, to reports of a stabbing.

A male had a stab injury, which police believe could have been caused by glass.

He sought medical attention at the scene.

Enquiries are ongoing to establish what happened and anyone with information can call Nottinghamshire Police on 101.
