Second Rhondda Cynon Taf Council worker dies with Covid-19

A second person who worked for Rhondda Cynon Taf Council has died after testing positive for Covid-19.

It comes just weeks after it was announced another member of staff died after contracting the virus.

The news was announced at a full council meeting on Wednesday, November 11, where council leader Andrew Morgan informed members of the news.

He said: “Tragically, I advised full council that a second member of the council’s staff had passed away earlier this week which was linked to Covid-19.

"This follows the sad passing of another member of staff back in late September, whose death was also linked to Covid-19.

“It would not be appropriate to release any further details, but the collective thoughts and prayers of all members are with the family, friends and colleagues of the staff member at this difficult time.”
