Boris Johnson has said on a visit to Bristol that a second referendum would be "bad for business".
The Prime Minister was visiting the South West in the lead-up to the general election, which is taking place on December 12.
He told journalists that the UK "already has a great deal" for Brexit and that a second referendum would only bring "misery" and "confusion".
'My own family is divided'
He said: "My own family is divided between remain and leave. It's time for us to get this done.
"When we do that we begin our new partnership with our European friends. We can be great friends and supporters of Europe. Once people get that their anxiety will subside."
Mr Johnson also said that a coalition between the Labour Party and the SNP would be "chaotic".
The Prime Minister 's visit to the city follows a trip by chancellor Sajid Javid on Tuesday.
Mr Johnson added: "I love Bristol it's great to be here."
