Second night in a row people hear 'boom' sounds across Nottingham

Loud 'sounds' have been heard across Nottingham over the last two nights - but mystery surrounds where they have come from.

People in Beeston, Carlton, Wilford and the city centre heard loud explosion or firework noises at 5pm on Monday, December 2.

On Sunday, December 1, residents also reported hearing the same noise at 5pm. One resident described them as 'loud fire works or explosions.'

The fire service and police have been called but no reports have been made.

The last time an unexplained loud bang was heard in the area was on October 25.

Residents took to social media after hearing the noise as far away as Sneinton, with one person saying it sounded like a rocket taking off.

It was revealed the next morning that firefighters attended London Road by a swan flying into an electric cable.
