Second massive cannabis factory found on terraced street in Llanelli

Another massive haul of cannabis has been found on the same terraced street police raided less than a month ago.

Detectives discovered a huge haul in Gilbert Crescent, Llanelli, in July after a dozy drug dealer left the front door wide open .

Now police have been back in the small street for a second time - finding almost 200 cannabis plants this time.

One the rooms, believed to the be the living room, is full of cannabis plants and officers also found sophisticated equipment - such as lamps, ventilation fans and insulation.

No arrests have yet been made in connection with the incident (Dyfed-Powys Police)

Dyfed-Powys Police confirmed a warrant was executed at the house on August 1.

"We are urging members of the public to continue to come forward with information," a spokesman added.

"While no investigations have been made to this latest discovery, investigations are continuing.

The street value of the cannabis has not been disclosed, but officers confirmed that 197 plants have been seized.

In the meantime, police said the next public meeting in the Elli / Lleidi ward will be taking place at 6.30pm on Thursday, August 8, at the Llanelli Deaf Society.

A spokesman added: "This surgery is an opportunity for the deaf community to approach their local officer with any concerns."

Anyone with information on the drugs raid can contact contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
