Second man arrested and charged after Greenock petrol bomb attack

A second man has been arrested and charged after a petrol bomb was launched at a home in Greenock, Inverclyde. 

The arson attack took place on September 19 in the town's Cumberland Road.

The 22-year-old was cuffed by officers from Police Scotland and charged in connection following a wilful fireraising at a property.

It's the second arrest in connection with the incident in the Renfrewshire town.


Detective Superintendent Gerry McBride said: “This is the second arrest and charge in connection with the incident at Cumberland Road in September and another significant development in our investigations into recent firerasing’s in the area.

"Enquiries remain ongoing and I would continue to urge anyone with information to contact police.”
