Two men have been arrested after a 15-year-old boy was killed in a hit and run in Wirral.
Manor Drive in Upton was closed in both directions by emergency services on Monday, after a crash involving a car and bicycle.
The cyclist, a 15-year-old boy, was taken to hospital where he sadly died.
Merseyside Police said the driver of the car, described as a silver SUV, failed to stop at the scene.
Earlier today, a 22-year-old man from Wirral was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop after a road accident.
He remains in custody for questioning.

A second man, a 48-year-old from Birkenhead, has now been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop after a road accident.
He has been taken into custody where he will be interviewed by officers.
Tributes have flooded in for the 15-year-old victim following the devastating incident last night.
Paying tribute on the ECHO's Facebook page, Helen Fairclough said: "Just heartbreaking. Prayers & condolences to his family and friends (sleep peacefully forever young man) xxxxx."
