Second girl found after two teenagers went missing from their homes

Two teenage girls who had been missing from their Bristol homes since the weekend have now both been found.

Alaya, 15, and Maya 13, have returned home after Avon and Somerset Police announced a missing persons' search yesterday.

Alaya was the first to be found yesterday but Avon and Somerset Police confirmed late last night that Maya had also been found "safe and well".

Avon and Somerset Police previously said that 13-year-old Maya failed to return home at the agreed time on Saturday, June 26.

In a statement, Avon and Somerset Police said: "Missing teenager Maya has been found safe and well.

"As always, we're extremely grateful for the support the public gave in sharing our earlier appeals to find her and another teenage girl.

"Many also called in with information which we're also really thankful for."
