A second teenager has been charged in connection with a serious incident at a barber shop in East Lothian.
Officers were called to the scene on Musselburgh High Street at around 1.55pm on Friday following reports of an alleged disturbance.
A 16-year-old boy suffered non life-threatening injuries and was rushed to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment.
A 14-year-old male youth was charged a short time later.
Officers were then called to reports of a teenager seen acting ‘suspiciously’ in the Newbigging area of the town on Sunday evening.
A 16-year-old was soon discovered and found to be in possession of a knife before being arrested by cops.
Police Scotland have now confirmed that the youth was also found to be connected to the barber shop incident.
A force spokesperson said: “Around 7pm on Sunday, 19 April, we received a report of teenage boy acting suspiciously in the Newbigging area of Musselburgh.
“Officers attended and the 16-year-old was found to be in possession of a knife, he was arrested and charged.
“Further enquiries found him to be connected with a disturbance on Musselburgh High Street which happened on Friday, 16 April.
“He has also been charged in connection with this incident and appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday, April 19.”
