A second man has been arrested in connection with the stabbing of a teenage boy.
Officers were called to reports of a stabbing at Our Lady of Compassion Formby Parish, on School Lane, on Tuesday, March 8. At the scene, in Formby, emergency services found a 16-year-old boy had suffered serious injuries after being stabbed. Earlier this month, police confirmed a man was charged in connection with the incident. Sonny Collins, of Maple Close, Bootle, is charged with robbery, possession of a bladed article and possession of a Class B drug (cannabis).
Now an 18-year-old man, from Kirkby, has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. He has been taken into custody for questioning. The victim suffered serious injuries from the stabbing but has since been released from hospital.
