Ohio State Football is among the best in the land, and the respect even continues among those covering the SEC.
After a 52-3 victory over a rather hapless Northwestern, Ohio State isn’t just at the top of Kirk Herbstreit’s rankings but also famous SEC Network sounding board Paul Finebaum.
Immediately following Ohio State comes two SEC powerhouses, LSU and Alabama. Many have put LSU at the top given their long list of quality victories, and that would be hard to argue with.
However, Ohio State will have a chance to add their first top-15 victory this week against Wisconsin. Sadly, that matchup has lost a little shine with the Badgers’ unexpected upset at the hands of Illinois.
That said, here’s how Finebaum rounded out his top six with Ohio State’s November 23rd opponent Penn State rounding out the list.
This is a commendable list that includes the top undefeated threats.
LSU and Bama will play later this season as will Penn State and Ohio State. Those two games will be two that help define the NCAA’s regular season, and perhaps postseason.
