'Sebastien Haller would walk into Man United's XI!' - West Ham fans stunned by transfer deal

Sebastien Haller could soon be officially unveiled as a West Ham player after Eintracht Frankfurt announced that a deal had been agreed for the striker.

Fans of the east London club have been left excited by the prospect of bringing in a forward previously linked with Manchester United, and who was involved in 31 goals in 41 games last season.

After selling Marko Arnautovic, missing out on Maxi Gomez and releasing Andy Carroll at the start of the summer, the Frenchman could - in one fell swoop - arrive as an instant upgrade to Manuel Pellegrini's attack.

He could have had a similar impact up top for a number of other Premier League clubs aiming to crack the European places this season, not least United or a West Ham rival for Europea League football such as Everton.

Instead, he is only a medical and a signature away from moving to the London Stadium.

West Ham China tour update for July 15

On social media, West Ham supporters and neutral observers, impressed by the Hammers and their move, have been hailing the news that Haller could soon be coming to the Premier League.

Haller found success last season in a striker partnership with Luka Jovic, now signed by Real Madrid alongside Eden Hazard as part of their summer rebuilding.

The French forward's ability to bring the Serbian into play bodes well for the likes of Pablo Fornals and Felipe Anderson, but according to some regular watchers of Eintracht Frankfurt, West Ham may have bagged the true star of their attack.
