Sebastian Eubank's widow shares her grief and says he died from "massive heart attack"

The grieving widow of Chris Eubank's son Sebastian has spoken of her devastation at his sudden death - and revealed he could not have been saved.

Salma Abdelati said a full post-mortem had revealed that the 29-year-old was most likely living with a pre-existing heart condition both he and his family were unaware of.

The Brighton-born boxer and MMA fighter was found dead on a beach near his home in Dubai on Friday - just days before his 30th birthday.

She said the new dad died after suffering a "massive heart attack" while in the sea, the Mirror reports.

Salma added: "While still very painful it is of some comfort that Sebastian died after having one of his favourite meals with one of his closest friends whilst doing his favourite thing at his favourite place in Dubai where he often went to swim.

"He was standing in the water close to shore watching the sunset at Cove Beach in Dubai.

"I am grateful that he was able to spend a few short and happy weeks with his son before his death."

She also thanked the Dubai coroner and police for a swift investigation.

The couple welcomed son Raheem only a month ago.

Boxing legend Chris Eubank Sr, 54, had earlier hailed his son as a "deep thinker" who was "loved and respected by all who knew him".

He said: "Never did I ever imagine I would write these words or experience the feeling I now have at the loss of my son.

"My family and I are devastated to hear of the death of Sebastian just days before what would have been his 30th birthday."

Sebastian, who boxed using the name Alka Lion, made his debut in February 2018 against Polish fighter Kamil Kulczyk.

He made his MMA debut last year.
