Seattle trades conditional draft pick to Jets for CB Parry Nickerson

The Seahawks executed yet another trade Saturday before the 53-man roster cuts deadline on Saturday. Seattle is sending a 2021 conditional seventh-round draft pick to the New York Jets for cornerback Parry Nickerson, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Seattle had already beefed up its defensive unit earlier in the morning, agreeing to acquire Texans defensive end Jadeveon Clowney in exchange for linebacker Jacob Martin, pass rusher Barkevious Mingo and a third-round selection in 2020.

Nickerson was originally drafted in 2018 by the Jets in the sixth round out of Tulane. He started two of 16 games played last season, logging 21 combined tackles, 18 of those solo, his rookie year.

The Seahawks have yet to confirm the move or announce the cuts following Saturday’s deadline of 1:00 p.m. PT.
