Seattle Seahawks player of the game: Quarterback Russell Wilson

The Seattle Seahawks defeated the Los Angeles Rams 30-29 thanks to the play of quarterback Russell Wilson, who had another outstanding performance on a Thursday night, moving to 8-1 over his career.

Wilson completed 17 of 23 passes for 268 yards and four touchdowns, finishing with a 151.8 passer rating. After three quarters, Wilson’s passer rating was a perfect 158.3.

Wilson spread the ball around, completing touchdown passes to Tyler Lockett, DK Metcalf, David Moore and Chris Carson. Wilson also carried the ball eight times for 32 yards, showing his ability to do damage with both his arm and his legs.

It was a vintage performance from the superstar quarterback, who has put up numbers that rival the very best in the NFL. If the Seahawks continue to win like this, Wilson will no doubt be the front-runner for the league’s MVP award when the season is over.

For now, the team will enjoy a long weekend off before they get ready to take on the Browns in Cleveland on Oct. 13.
