Seattle Seahawks player of the game: Linebacker Bobby Wagner

It was an ugly performance from the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, as they fell to 5-2 on the season in a 30-16 loss to the Baltimore Ravens.

A less-than-stellar performance from Russell Wilson and a handful of errors on both sides of the ball led to the defeat, but it was another excellent game from star middle linebacker Bobby Wagner.

Wagner finished with 13 combined tackles, seven solo, along with a pass defended and a forced fumble.

Wagner’s pass defended was a crucial one, as he was able to prevent Ravens tight end Mark Andrews from scoring in the second quarter, which held Baltimore to just a field goal.

On a day when the Seahawks struggled to stop quarterback Lamar Jackson, Wagner was once again a force in the middle – and his presence is quite possibly the only reason Jackson didn’t do even more damage against a defense that has yet to live up to expectations this season.

The Seahawks will have to regroup soon in order to earn a victory on the road against the Falcons in Atlanta next Sunday.
