Seattle Seahawks have plenty to cheer for this March Madness

The Seattle Seahawks will likely join the rest of the world by taking in some college basketball this weekend as the NCAA tournament gets set to begin.

The field features 64 different college hoops teams battling to be number one in a multi-week extravaganza.

The Seahawks are well-represented in this year’s tournament, with 27 players on the roster getting a chance to watch their alma mater.

Here are the 18 teams that the 27 Seahawks players represent:

Kansas (1) Bradley McDougald

Kansas State (1) Tyler Lockett

LSU (2) Barkevious Mingo, Ethan Pocic

Maryland (1) Quinton Jefferson

Michigan (3) Frank Clark, Amara Darboh, Delano Hill

Mississippi State (1) K.J. Wright

North Carolina (1) Nazair Jones

Ohio State (2) Jamarco Jones, Nick Vannett

Oklahoma (1) Emmanuel Beal

Oregon (1) Ed Dickson

Purdue (1) Jordan Roos

Texas Tech (1) Branden Jackson

UCF (3) Jeremy Boykins, Shaquill Griffin, Shaquem Griffin

Utah State (2) Marwin Evans, Bobby Wagner

Villanova (1) Austin Calitro

Virginia Tech (2) Duane Brown, Kam Chancellor

Washington (1) Will Dissly

Wisconsin (2) Russell Wilson

With the tournament just getting started, will any Seahawks player get bragging rights in the end? Perhaps Nazair Jones and North Carolina will win another one, or maybe Bradley McDougald’s Kansas squad will upset them in the Sweet 16 – that’s assuming UNC can get by either Wagner’s Utah State squad or Dissly’s UW team, who are facing off in an 8-9 matchup for the chance to play UNC in round two.

Tune in on CBS, TruTV and TBS this weekend to catch all the action and root for your favorite Seahawks alma mater.
