Seattle Seahawks 2019 NFL draft tracker, including picks and trades

The Seattle Seahawks entered the 2019 NFL draft with just five total selections after acquiring the Kansas City Chiefs’ first-round pick as part of the trade package for defensive end Frank Clark.

Seattle dealt its original first-rounder (No. 21) to the Packers for No. 30 overall and a pair of fourth-round picks and then traded that selection to the Giants for No. 37 and picks in the fourth and fifth round.

Here’s a look at the Seahawks 2019 draft class so far:

ROUND 1

At No. 29 overall (via the Chiefs) the Seahawks selected defensive end L.J. Collier out of Texas Christian University.

ROUND 2

In their third trade of the draft so far, the Seahawks moved back from No. 37 on Friday, in exchange with Carolina for No. 47 and No. 77.

With the No. 47 pick from the Panthers, the Seahawks selected free safety Marquise Blair out of Utah.

Seattle actually made a second pick in the second round Friday night, pulling off a trade with New England to select at No. 64 and snag wide receiver D.K. Metcalf out of Ole Miss.

ROUND 3

The Seahawks pulled off their fourth trade of the draft Friday night, moving up in the third round in a deal with the Vikings that sent No. 92 and No. 159 to Minnesota in exchange for No. 88 and No. 209.

With the No. 88 overall pick, Seattle selected linebacker Cody Barton out of Utah, the second Ute of the day.

The Seahawks have the following picks left in the 2019 NFL draft.

ROUND 4

The Seahawks traded their first pick in the fourth round – No. 114 overall – to the Vikings to start their day. In return, Seattle picks up No. 120 and a sixth rounder, No. 204.

With the No. 120 pick, the Seahawks selected wide receiver Gary Jennings out of West Virginia.

The Seahawks were quickly back on the clock and drafted Wake Forest guard Phil Haynes at No. 124 overall.

Shortly thereafter, Seattle added a safety, Ugo Amadi out of Oregon with pick No. 132 in the fourth round.

ROUND 5

With their only pick in the fifth round – No. 142 overall – the Seahawks stayed local and selected University of Washington linebacker Ben Burr-Kirven.

ROUND 6

After a lengthy wait, the Seahawks used their first of two picks in the sixth round to snag University of Miami running back Travis Homer.

Seattle used its final pick of the 2019 NFL draft to select defensive tackle DeMarcus Christmas out of Florida State.

ROUND 7

The Seahawks traded with Jacksonville to move back into the draft. Seattle selected wide John Ursua and the Jaguars received a sixth-round pick in 2020.
