Seattle adds running back Travis Homer at No. 204 overall in 6th round

The Seattle Seahawks were able to take a quick breather Saturday afternoon after selecting three players in the fourth round and one in the fifth of the 2019 NFL draft.

The Seahawks picked wide receiver Gary Jennings, guard Phil Haynes, safety Ugo Amadi and linebacker Ben Burr-Kirven early on Day 3.

Seattle has now added Miami rusher Travis Homer to the roster. Homer will join Chris Carson, Rashaad Penny, C.J. Prosise, Bo Scarbrough and J.D. McKissic in the Seahawks running back room.

While Carson is the frontrunner to start and Penny close behind, Seattle has shown time and again it’s not draft status that matters to get the nod on game days and every back will have the chance to compete.

Homer is the Seahawks’ ninth pick of the draft so far. Seattle is next set to select at No. 209, barring any trades.
