Seating plan revealed for Nottingham Forest's new 10,000-capacity Peter Taylor Stand

Seating plans for Nottingham Forest's new state of the art Peter Taylor Stand have been revealed, with more than 8,000 'standard' seats split over three tiers.

Planning permission for the work has now been formally lodged with Rushcliffe Borough Council, with hopes that should, as expected, permission be granted, work will start next year on phase one of the £100m project which will see the stadium capacity raised to around 38,000.

As part of the planning process, a myriad of different documents outlining plans for the new development have been released, and one which may rouse the interest of supporters is the breakdown of seating allocations.

While the lengthy planning process could yet see changes, the initial proposal would see a total of 10,000 seats installed in the Peter Taylor Stand, with 8,043 classed as ‘standard’ seating split over three tiers for supporters.

Included within the plans are a further 840 ‘business’ seats, 722 ‘VIP’ seats, 152 ‘technical’ seats, 132 corporate box seats, along with 54 media and 55 disabled seats.

"The City Ground has iconic history and memories for our supporters and these legacies were fundamental in our decision us to remain on the banks of the River Trent and not relocating to an alternative site,” said owner Evangelos Marinakis on the plans.

“This is our home and we will remain here forever.

"This investment is about our club and the city of Nottingham and we are all committed together to deliver a place that we will all feel proud of, The New City Ground, our home forever."
