'Season is over, everyone is crying' - Tottenham fans react to massive Son Heung-min injury blow

News of another injury blow for Tottenham Hotspur has got supporters talking.

The Lilywhites haven't had much luck when it comes to injuries in 2020 having lost leading scorer Harry Kane as well as midfielder Moussa Sissoko until April at the very earliest.

And now there's another name added to the list.

Aston Villa V Tottenham Hotspur: Match in a minute

Son Heung-min is facing up to a number of weeks on the sidelines as he is set to undergo surgery in the coming days.

The South Korea international, who scored twice in the dramatic 3-2 win over Aston Villa at the weekend, suffered a fracture to his right arm during the game and requires a operation.

This setback means he will miss Wednesday night's Champions League round of 16 first-leg tie against RB Leipzig at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

A statement via the club's official website reads: "Heung-Min Son is to undergo surgery this week after sustaining a fracture to his right arm.

"The South Korea international suffered the injury during our win against Aston Villa on Sunday.

"Following surgery, our medical staff shall be reviewing management options for Son’s rehabilitation with the player expected to be sidelined for a number of weeks."

Naturally, news of Son's injury has prompted a massive reaction on social media.
