'Season defining' - Liverpool fans react after Manchester United draw in FA Cup

Liverpool and Manchester United will have a fresh opportunity to renew their rivalry after being drawn against one another in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

The two title-chasing sides are due to lock horns in the Premier League next weekend and won't have to wait long for a rematch.

Monday evening's FA Cup fourth round draw paired Liverpool with United, which will be played on the weekend of January 23rd - a week after the league meeting.

The clash is the first FA Cup meeting between the two sides since 2012, where a late winner from Dirk Kuyt sent Liverpool into the fifth round.

With the schedule packed due to the late start to the season amid the coronavirus pandemic, such a large tie would have likely been something that Jurgen Klopp would have wanted to avoid.

Liverpool do, of course, have the Champions League returning in February and face an action-packed fixture list until the end of the season.

However, many fans on social media were relishing the opportunity to face off against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side once again.

With two ties against United in quick succession, it's the perfect opportunity to silence the United fans who have found their voice following a decent run of results.

The winners of the fourth-round tie will face either Stockport County, West Ham or Doncaster Rovers in the fifth round.
