Season 3 of Succession will air in October as Sky confirm new additions

Despite the fact that the pandemic has changed so many things in the world, there's one thing that's guaranteed, the Roy family will continue to tear itself apart for our pleasure.

After recently releasing the trailer for the upcoming episodes, HBO has now confirmed that Season 3 of Succession - aka the greatest TV show in the world right now - will air in the US in October.

Traditionally, the Emmy-winning drama premieres in the US first, but it's shown immediately after in Ireland on Sky Atlantic and we expect this same schedule to continue.

The new episodes will see stars Brian Cox (Logan Roy), Jeremy Strong (Kendall Roy), Sarah Snook (Shiv Roy), Kieran Culkin (Roman Roy), Alan Ruck (Connor Roy), Nicholas Braun (Cousin Greg), Matthew Macfadyen (Tom Wambsgans) and J. Smith-Cameron (Gerri Kellman) all return.

New additions to the cast for Season 3 include Adrien Brody, Alexander Skarsgård, Sanaa Lathan, Linda Emond, Jihae Kim, Hope Davis, Dasha Nekrasova and Ella Rumpf.

The most recent trailer for the show picked up right from where we left off in Season 2 as the fallout from Kendall Roy's seismic press conference continues to be felt.

Now that Logan Roy's rebellious son has refused to toe the line and launched an all-out attack on his father's status and reputation, all bets are off.

The return of Succession is just another reason for Sky customers to be happy because the broadcaster will be unveiling their new channels, Sky Showcase and Sky Max, very soon.

The broadcaster will also be moving Sky Original comedies to the Sky Comedy channel, making it the new home of UK and US comedy. The channels will be available to Sky customers at no extra charge.

They will also launch on streaming service NOW and on Virgin Media.

In terms of the highlights coming to Sky Max in September, viewers will be pleased to know that the likes of The Russell Howard Hour, Wolfe, and Never Mind the Buzzcocks will be available.

As for the September highlights on Sky Showcase, Season 2 of Code 404, Young Rock, Mr Mayor, and Hawking: Can You Hear Me? will definitely please audiences.
