Searches launched for missing Wexford mum as new CCTV footage emerges

Searches have been launched off the Wexford coast for a missing Irish mum as new CCTV footage emerges.

Deirdre Redmond, 50, from the Gorey area of Wexford, was last seen on Saturday, July 11.

Her family are extremely concerned for her wellbeing and have sought Garda assistance in tracing her.

Deirdre has short red/dark hair, is approximately 5ft 6” in height and of slim build.

When last seen she was wearing a purple top and dark jeans.

She was last seen on CCTV at Warren Park in Ballymoney at around 3.20pm on Saturday.

Irish Coast Guard searches have been taking place over the last number of days on the shoreline near Ballymoney and Courtown.

Emergency services twice received reports of an item floating in the water near Courtown on Wednesday, but crews were unable to find anything after an extensive search.

While footage of the Wexford mum captured on CCTV on Saturday afternoon has been shared on the Find Deirdre Facebook page.

Deirdre's family have urged anyone who may have seen her, particularly later on Saturday evening near the Ballymoney beach, to come forward.

A garda spokesman said: "Anyone with information is asked to contact Gorey Garda Station on 053–9430690 or the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111."
