Police have confirmed that missing Wishaw man Ondrej Kaderabek has been traced.
The 40-year-old was reported missing from his Mossneuk Crescent home this morning.
A team of officers searched woodland, near Branchal Road, earlier today.
At that point, a group of concerned local residents gathered at the scene.
One told Lanarkshire Live: "Everyone here is understandably a bit worried and hoping that the missing man turns up safe and well."
After police confirmed Mr Kaderabek had been traced, people took to Facebook to thank them for their efforts.
One posted: "Great effort by the police in searching for this man. I hope he gets all the help he needs. God bless."
Another wrote: "Helicopter flying overhead for 2hrs, 2 police horses out for a few hours. Well done thought you only looked for people after 24 hrs, take my hat off to you."
