Missing man's body found at Grampians following extensive police search

The body of missing South Australian man David Moscarda has been found near Mount Shelley at the base of the Grampians, police have confirmed.

Victoria Police coordinated an extensive search of the area today after the 39-year-old's vehicle was found in the region yesterday.

Police said the body was found about 4:00pm.

Mr Moscarda was last seen on Adelaide Road in Millicent in South Australia's south-east at 7:15am on Sunday, December 30.

His family and police had earlier raised concerns for his welfare and said he suffered from a medical condition.

He was last seen wearing a black hoodie with "Russell" written across the front, beige pants and black sneakers.

Police said his vehicle, an orange Holden Viva sedan with registration XLX014, was found in the Grampians on January 6, prompting the extensive search by Victoria Police.

Police said there are no suspicious circumstances and Victoria Police will be preparing a report for their State Coroner.
