Search underway for missing ferret Meatball after escape from Dennistoun flat

A search is underway for a pet ferret that has gone missing in the Dennistoun area.

The small animal, which goes by Meatball, disappeared some time after 7pm last night (July 13) from the flat he lives in near to Alexandra Park.

He is believed to have either jumped or fell out of the kitchen window.

Meatball can be identified by the kink at the very end of his tail, while both his canine teeth are chipped.

His owner took to social media to share the news of his disappearance.

They tweeted: "Missing pet ferret Dennistoun, next to Alexandra park. Goes by Meatball. Went missing 13/07/21 some time after 7pm. Believed to have jumped or fell out kitchen window. Both canine teeth are chipped and has a kink at the very end of his tail."

UPDATE - Meatball has been found.
