Search underway for man who went missing after watching Bristol City vs Middlesbrough

A country-wide appeal has been launched to trace Brian Hayden who went missing after watching Bristol City vs Middlesbrough.

The 50-year-old fan, from Lowestoft, vanished after attending the head-to-head on Sunday (September 1) in Bristol.

A spokesperson for Suffolk Police said Mr Hayden is as a vulnerable man and his family are extremely worried about his disappearance.

"Family are very concerned for Brian as he is described as vulnerable and it is unknown where he is travelling to," said the force spokesperson.

"It is thought he could be using public transport as he left the family home on foot, and is described as a white male, aged 50, of medium build with short grey hair and a short beard.

"He wears glasses and the time was wearing a dark coloured t- shirt, grey shorts and a grey hooded top.

"Enquiries are on-going to locate him and anyone who has seen Brian, knows of his whereabouts or has seen a man matching the description given should contact Suffolk Constabulary on 10, quoting CAD 320 1 September 2019."
