A huge search is underway to find a 45-year-old man who vanished after staying with friends before Christmas.
Kevin Lynch was last seen at Portishead Marina on December 23.
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police confirmed he was staying at a friend's house, on a visit from Dublin when he disappeared.
Kevin failed to catch his planned return flight home and has not been in contact with his family, friends or workplace since - which detectives say is extremely 'out of character'.
A force spokesperson said: "He is described as white, 6ft 1in tall, of muscular build, with short, dark brown hair and an Irish accent. When last seen he was wearing a long black coat, blue shirt, blue shirt, grey trousers and brogue-style shoes.
"Kevin's disappearance is out of character, especially as he is not familiar with the area.
"If you have seen Kevin or have any information about his whereabouts, call 101 quoting reference 5219295362."
