Update: Joseph Harrison has been "found and returned home safely", police have confirmed.
An 88-year-old man with dementia has gone missing while in Bristol city centre.
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset police said officers were concerned for Joseph Harrison's welfare after he disappeared while in Broadmead,
He was last seen at around 1pm today (Monday, 8 July).
A force spokesperson said: "Mr Harrison, who is from the Thornbury area, is white, about 5ft 7ins tall, has grey hair and of medium build.
"He was wearing grey trousers and a grey fairisle-type jumper.
"If you see him, please phone 999 and tell the call handler you're phoning in relation to log 781 of today."
