A Sunderland man who was missing for two months has been found safe and well.
Northumbria Police launched a public appeal on Thursday to find Michael Butler who disappeared two months ago.
Concerns were growing for the 39-year-old who had not been seen since December 5.
He was reported missing on Tuesday and an investigation was then launched.
Both the police and his family were growing increasingly worried for his welfare but officers confirmed that he has been located overnight.
On Friday morning, a spokesperson for the force said: "Michael was located fit and well overnight.
"Thank you for everyone who shared our appeal."
